DAY 2: TO PISA
After a delightful Italian breakfast, we boarded our bus and headed to Pisa. The kids have been super great so far about expectations about where to be when!
We arrived in Pisa after stopping at an "Auto Grill" (an amazing Italian version of our "pit stop / rest area" on highways) for some sándwiches and other needs. We walked a bit to the main historical area of Pisa where I got the above impromptu group photo from under the entrance arch.
(really... just a bell tower built on bad soil...)
We have many more great pictures from Pisa that will be uploaded - these are just a few!
THE OTHER BUILDINGS AT PISA:
The Cathedral
(which represents life in the four steps of humanity):
(which represents birth):
(and the ancient hospital represents sickness/aging and the cemetery represents death...)
GETTING SOME GELATO AFTERWARDS!

Looks amazing! Have a wonderful time and thank you for sharing your trip! Splendido!
